Dr. Audrey Chia

Associate Professor of Management & Organization, NUS Business School
Jt Associate Professor, Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health

Audrey is Associate Professor of Management & Organization, NUS Business School. She holds a joint appointment at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at the National University of Singapore. Audrey studies how social and health problems can be addressed by social entrepreneurship and innovative philanthropy. Audrey’s research has been published in JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) and by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). She has spoken on social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, innovative financing and inclusive growth at meetings of the ADB, OECD, United Nations and the European Union. Her work has been presented at conferences of the Academy of Management, the Integrated Care Foundation and the World Health Summit.

Audrey has consulted for, given talks and conducted executive training on Leadership, Change, Managing in Asia and Diversity & Inclusiveness to international organisations such as Bridgestone, Dentsu, Deutsche Bahn-Schenker, Total, Catalyst, DHL, Jones Lang LaSalle, L’Oreal, McDonald’s, Maersk, Mitsui, Panasonic, Samsung, Telenor, Royal Brunei Airlines, PT Astra, Temasek Foundation, the Government of Brunei and Unilever.

Audrey directs the NIHA (NUS Initiative to Improve Health in Asia) Healthcare Leadership Programme for senior leaders in the public, private and NGO sectors from 15 countries across Asia. Audrey also directs NUS Business School’s Leadership Development Programme, which attracts participants from five continents. She has received three University awards, two Faculty awards and numerous commendations for excellence in teaching.

Prof. Tan Kok Choon

Associate Professor, Decision Sciences, NUS Business School
Director of Degree Education, The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific

Tan Kok Choon is associate professor of Decision Sciences at NUS Business School and Director of Degree Education at The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific (TLIAP), overseeing the Double Master Program in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, a collaboration between NUS and Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also program co-director of the M.Sc. in Supply Chain Management program which is jointly offered by the Department of Decision Sciences, Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering and TLIAP.

Dr Tan received a PhD in Operations Research from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has held appointments as Container Terminal Process Manager with PSA Singapore and Manager of Operations Research at PSA International, and Operations Research Manager at Land Transport Authority. He has published in international journals including Mathematics of Operations, European Journal of Operational Research, OR Spectrum, Intermodal Transportation Research, Supply Chain Optimization, among others.

Dr Tan is currently serving as President of the Operational Research Society of Singapore (ORSS) as well as a member of the Logistics Technical Committee and the Manufacturing Standards Committee under the Singapore Standards Council.

Prof. Ishtiaq Pasha Mahmood

Associate Professor, NUS Business School

Ishtiaq Pasha Mahmood is an Associate Professor at the NUS Business School where he studies and works with multinational and indigenous companies on their emerging market strategies. He joined the NUS faculty in 1999, after obtaining an economics degree from Oberlin College (1992) and a Ph.D. from Harvard (1999), and an interim stint as a management consultant in Chicago.

From 2012 to 2014, Pasha was a Professor at IMD Lausanne where he continues to teach in its flagship Orchestrating Winning Performance (OWP) program. He has also taught at the Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, and is a member of the Asian Service Business Research Institute (ASBS) at Waseda University.

In 2002, Pasha won the Haynes Prize from the Academy of International Business (AIB) for the most prominent scholar in international business (under 40).

More recently in 2014, he has won the Aspen Faculty Pioneer Award; dubbed "the Oscars of the business school world" by The Financial Times, the award recognises educators who integrate social and environmental issues into their academic research, educational programmes and business ethics. Pasha sits on the faculty advisory boards of the Evian Group, and the recently created SONY Reverse Innovation Community. At NUS, he teaches at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and directs the popular "Business Strategies for Asia" program for senior executives.
