Jeanne Stampe

Asia Finance and Commodities Specialist, WWF International 

Jeanne Stampe joined WWF International in 2011 as the Asia Finance and Commodities Specialist.  She brings with her finance experience from over 8 years of private equity investing in Europe and SE Asia with Apax Partners and Affinity Equity Partners.  

Prior to this, she spent 5 years at Goldman Sachs London and Credit Suisse New York on structured finance and M&A deals. In 2012, she co-authored the WWF Palm Oil Investor Review and in 2014, she was the project leader and editor of the WWF ESG Integration Guide for Banks which was accompanied by a series of workshops across South East Asia.

She was the project leader and co-author of the 2015 report on Sustainable Finance in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia which sparked industry level changes in Singapore and Indonesia. In 2016, she published the WWF Asian Fast Moving Consumer Goods Sustainability Guide. She graduated with an BA(Hons), MA (cantab) in Economics from Cambridge University.

Ambassador Ong Keng Yong 

Ambassador-at-Large, Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Executive Deputy Chairman, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University

Ambassador ONG Keng Yong is Executive Deputy Chairman of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Concurrently, he is Ambassador-at-Large at the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs, non-resident High Commissioner to Pakistan and non-resident Ambassador to Iran. Mr Ong also serves as Chairman of the Singapore International Foundation (SIF).

Mr Ong was High Commissioner of Singapore to Malaysia from 2011 to 2014. He served as Secretary-General of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), based in Jakarta, Indonesia from January 2003 to January 2008.

Mr Ong started his diplomatic career in 1979 and was posted to the Singapore Embassies in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and the United States of America. He was Singapore's High Commissioner to India and concurrently Ambassador to Nepal from 1996 to 1998. From September 1998 to December 2002, he was Press Secretary to the then Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Goh Chok Tong. At the same time, Mr Ong held senior appointments in the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts, and the People's Association in Singapore. From 2008 to 2011, he served as Director of the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) in the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore.

Mr Ong graduated from the then University of Singapore with a LLB (Hons) and the Georgetown University (Washington DC, USA) with a MA in Arab Studies

Francisco L Roman Jr, DBA

Head, AIM Office of Research and Publications

Professor Francisco L. Roman has been associated with AIM since 1970. He is now engaged full-time as a Research Manager responsible for the administration and outputs of the Centers and Departments at AIM and Executive Director for AIM’s CSR & CG Center.

Aside from the above-named administrative and research assignments, Prof. Roman teaches Corporate Social Responsibility & Governance, Family Firms Management and Asian Business Systems, Competitiveness & Cluster Development, and SME Entrepreneurship.

Prof. Roman has also done consulting work for organisations such as World Bank Institute's Asian Network for Health Systems Strengthening for policy research and capacity building in the Greater Sub-Mekong Region with stints in Laos, Cambodia, and Viet Nam. He also worked with GIZ on supply chain management for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in the Philippines and on environmental sustainability in (eucalyptus) plantations in North India. 

Until September 2007, he served as the Associate Dean of the Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE). Prior to ACE, Prof. Roman taught with the faculty of the Center for Development Management (CDM) at AIM—focusing on applying competitiveness concepts and methodology in the development context
