ASEAN RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS FORUM 2015
Speakers and Delegates at the ASEAN Responsible Business Forum
The ASEAN Responsible Business Forum was held from 27-29 October 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is a continuation of the discussions that took place at the ASEAN Next-Gen CSR Forum. The theme was “ Promoting Responsible Business Practice in the ASEAN Economic Community. ” Discussions were centred around business responsibility and human rights, new business models for inclusive and sustainable agriculture, creating a culture of integrity among the ASEAN Business Community.
The Forum was attended by close to 250 key representatives of companies, governments, trade unions and civil society as they engaged in high-level dialogues and interactive consultation workshops, unpacking what responsible business practice can mean for the ASEAN Economic Community as ASEAN strives for inclusive, equitable and sustainable growth post-2015.
Specific topics tackled included business and human rights, business integrity as well as inclusive and sustainable agriculture.
The ASEAN Responsible Business Forum was co-organised by the ASEAN CSR Network (ACN), Oxfam, the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers, and ASEAN Foundation. The Forum was supported by the Swedish Government through its Embassy in Bangkok, the ASEAN Foundation through the Japan-ASEAN Solidarity Fund, the UK’s Foreign Commonwealth Office through its Prosperity Fund, the Canadian Government through its Canada Fund for Local Initiatives, and the Asia-Europe Foundation with the financial support of the European Union.
