Vice President, Head of Sustainability Reporting & Social Performance, Sime Darby Berhad
Rashyid is currently the Vice President, Head of Sustainability Reporting / Social Performance for Sime Darby Berhad, which is a diversified Malaysian multinational and the largest producer of certified sustainable palm oil globally. Prior to joining Sime Darby, he has more than 15 years of consulting and corporate advisory experience regionally, spanning across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
Previously, he was part of the regional leadership team for the Sustainability and Climate Change offering of the PwC South East Asia Consulting practice. He advised numerous private and public sector clients regionally on matters around sustainability strategy, policy frameworks, valuation, reporting, impact measurement, climate change and green technology.
Rashyid has spoken previously at various public forums internationally on areas covering sustainability and has also contributed articles on the matter for various publications within the region.
Representative of Thailand to the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights
Appointed by the cabinet in February 2013 and reappointed for the 2016-2018 term, Dr. Seree Nonthasoot has since been serving as the Representative of Thailand to the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR). Priorities for his second term include the development of a regional plan of action to mainstream the rights of persons with disabilities in the ASEAN Community, thematic studies on legal aid and death penalty, a campaign for the right to birth registration for the children of ASEAN and a regional plan for business and human rights in ASEAN.
Prior to his national appointment to the AICHR, Dr. Seree was a member of the Working Group on the Drafting of the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration, the first regional comprehensive human rights instrument that was adopted by ASEAN leaders in Phnom Penh in November 2012. He also teaches at various institutions, including Mahidol and Thammasat University, on the subject of human rights and law. Apart from his human rights works, Dr. Seree is the Senior Executive Vice President of the Institute for the Research and Development of Public Enterprises, a foundation that aims at promoting better governance and efficiency of public enterprises through research, training of officials and effective evaluation system.
Ambassador of Sweden to Singapore and Brunei Darussalam
Ambassador Håkan Jevrell was appointed Ambassador of Sweden to Singapore in August 2013 and he is also the non-resident Ambassador of Sweden to Brunei Darussalam.
Mr Jevrell was State Secretary at the Swedish Ministry of Defense from 2007-2012. He was also the Political Adviser at the Swedish Prime Minister’s office between 2006-2007.
Prior to his career in the Swedish government, Mr Jevrell was a Prosecutor at Västerorts Local Public Prosecution Office in Stockholm and prior to that he was an Assistant Lawyer at Legio Advokatfirma, Stockholm and he started his legal career at as a Law Clerk at County Administrative Court, Mariestad.
Mr Jevrell holds Masters of Law from Stockholm University and has also completed an Executive Management Program at the Institute For Leadership at Stockholm School of Economics.
Mr Jevrell has served as a Board Member for the Reserve Officers Organization in Stockholm and was also a Member of the Senior Advisory Board at Business Risk Management Europe Ltd (BRM), Stockholm.
