Below is the opinion piece done by Stephen B. Young, Global Executive Director, Caux Round Table for Moral Capitalism. In it, he gives his thoughts and views after attending the UN's SDG Business Forum. Read on to see what he has to say.

On 16 June 2017, in Jakarta, ACN met with a few Indonesian NGO's to discuss ways of working together in order to make a bigger impact in the country on CSR and Responsible Business. ACN CEO Thomas Thomas hoped that making progress in Indonesia would greatly help with progress in the region and provide lessons for other ASEAN countries to learn from. 

MANILA - As part of a year-long research project we're conducting with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ABAC), Oxfam and AVPN, the ACN team was in Manila to hear from 20 different stakeholders - entrepreneurs, farmer networks, banks, etc - to understand the current gaps faced by MSMEs to gain access to finance. This is the first in the series of stakeholder consultations we will conduct for qualitative research, and the next stops include Jakarta and Bangkok. Final policy recommendations will be submitted to ASEAN in Sept 2017.
