Potro Soeprapto, born in Berlin 22 February 1965, was educated at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (Mining Engineering) and the Karl-Marx Universität zu Trier & Katholieke Universiteit van Noord Brabant in Tilburg (European Union Environmental Management).

Potro has twenty-five years work experience in environmental management in mining, and currently holding the position of Senior Manager Social Responsibility and Government Relations at PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, a large copper-gold mine on the island of Sumbawa.
