Noriyuki has a distinct portfolio that spans more than 30 years in the Trade Industry.  He is the current General Secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation – Asia Pacific ((ITUC-AP) and the Deputy General Secretary of the ITUC since 2007.

Prior to ITUC-AP Noriyuki Suzuki has worked with Japan’s House of Representative till early 1980s.  He progressed to head the International Confederation of Free Trade Union – Asia Pacific Regional Organisation (ICFTU-APRO) and served as the Assistant General Secretary of the ICFTU before he was appointed to his current position following the organisation’s merger with the World Confederation of Labour (WCL).

Noriyuki graduated with a Masster in Arts, majoring in History of German Social Democracy from the Tokyo University.
