Debora R. Tjandrakusuma, Legal & Corporate Affairs Director, PT Nestle, Indonesia

Debora Tjandrakusuma joined Nestlé Indonesia in 1986, and has been building her career and expertise in Nestlé Group in the area of Legal and Corporate Affairs that covers also corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

In 2003 – 2006 she was assigned at the headquarter of the Nestlé Group in Vevey, Switzerland in Public Affairs function and her responsibility covers the area of human rights, commodity issues and  sustainability.  Upon her return to Nestlé Indonesia, she has been assigned to lead the Legal & Corporate Affairs function, and her area of responsibility covers corporate communication, government & community relations, legal and Creating Shared Value activities of Nestlé in Indonesia.

Debora has a bachelor and master degrees in law from University of Indonesia.

C.Y. Yeung, Director, Corporate Responsibility, Corporate Affairs Group, Intel Asia Pacific & Japan

C.Y. Yeung is responsible for leading Intel’s CSR strategy and implementation in the Greater Asia Region.  

C.Y. joined Intel in 1988 as a new college graduate and has held numerous roles spanning business, marketing, technology development, and general management in Asia.

As an intrapreneur, he has a strong track record in launching multiple strategic initiatives across industry, academia and government at Intel.

Under his leadership, CY has transformed CSR into mission critical business imperatives. CY works extensively with government, ICT industry, non-profit sector, and academia and is a strong advocate of corporate social innovation by enabling a vibrant social and business ecosystem. He is now driving a movement in China that aims to bring about collaboration across business, tech industry and social sector, and working with policymakers to create an enabling environment to address the prevailing social and environmental challenges.

Yolanda Banks, Senior Advisor, Corporate Social Responsibility

Yolanda Banks is Senior Advisor (Corporate Social Responsibility) at Export Development Canada (EDC), Canada’s export credit agency. She is responsible for CSR reporting, transactional reviews and management of stakeholder relations with non-governmental entities.

She serves on the board of the Trade Facilitation Office and as a member of the Management Advisory Board of the Canadian Business Ethics Research Network (CBERN). She was previously part of Canada’s delegation to the International Standards Organization Working Group on Social Responsibility (ISO 26000).

Before EDC, Ms. Banks was with the Canadian International Development Agency and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada with postings in London, Dhaka, Addis Ababa, with cross-accreditations to Myanmar and Sudan.

EDC’s knowledge and partnerships are used by more than 7,400 Canadian companies and their global customers in up to200 markets worldwide each year. Martiono Handianto, President Director, PT Newmont Nus Tenggara

Martiono Hadianto was appointed as President Director PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara since March 2009. He joined Newmont as President Director PT Newmont Pacific Nusantara in June 2007.

Previous to joining PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, Martiono  was holding several positions within government institutions and state-owned enterprises among others are Director of Finance PT Garuda Indonesia, Deputy of Economy & Finance of BPIS (Management Agency for Strategic Industries), Director General for State-Owned Enterprise, Assistant to Vice President for Industrial Harmonization of Vice President Indonesia's Office, Director General of Customs & Duty, President Director of PT Pertamina, and Chairman of Board Commissioners PT Pertamina.

Mr. Hadianto received his Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering from ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology) and MBA from University Oregon.

Okty Damayanti, Corporate Social Responsibility Divisional Head of Adaro Energy

Okty Damayanti graduated from Institute of Agriculture Bogor (IPB).  She joined Unilever Indonesia as a Management Trainee in 1989.  She was assigned at various positions in the marketing and sales functions in Home and Personal Products.

In February 2004, she was appointed as General Manager Unilever Peduli Foundation, a foundation that has been founded by Unilever to strengthen Unilever’s continuous commitment in Corporate Social Responsibility through various sustainable programmes.  She has successfully set up this foundation (UPF) and strengthen Unilever to a much respected company in terms of Social Responsibility.

After successful stint in UPF, Okty then was promoted to become Managing Director for Unilever Foods Division.  Since then she is part of  Board of  Directors of  PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. Okty resigned from Unilever Indonesia and since 2012 taking a role as CSR Divisional Head of  PT Adaro Energy Tbk. Currently she is responsible for developing CSR Strategy and managing CSR programme for Adaro Group and its subsidiaries.  She is also responsible for Yayasan Adaro Bangun Negeri, a foundation that was established in 2009.

Potro Soeprapto, Senior Manager Social Responsibility and Government Relations at PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara

Potro Soeprapto, born in Berlin 22 February 1965, was educated at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (Mining Engineering) and the Karl-Marx Universität zu Trier & Katholieke Universiteit van Noord Brabant in Tilburg (European Union Environmental Management).

Potro has twenty-five years work experience in environmental management in mining, and currently holding the position of Senior Manager Social Responsibility and Government Relations at PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, a large copper-gold mine on the island of Sumbawa.

Peter Mumford, Southeast Asia Regional Director for Economic and Trade Policy, United Kingdom's Foreign and Commonwealth Office

Peter Mumford is the SE Asia Regional Director for Economic and Trade Policy at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (UK foreign service), based in Singapore. He has been in this role since July 2012. He is responsible for overseeing the FCO’s analysis of economic developments in the SE Asia region, as well as coordinating its broader work to promote reforms that will enhance cross-border trade and investment between the UK and countries in SE Asia.  Peter also co-chairs the FCO’s technical cooperation programme, the Prosperity Fund, in the region.

Prior to arriving in Singapore, Peter was First Secretary Economic and Financial Policy at the British Embassy in Beijing from November 2007 until June 2012. He was responsible for coordinating reporting and analysis on economic developments across China. Peter led for the UK on preparations for the financial strand of the annual UK-China Economic and Financial Dialogue.  He also led the UK Government’s technical cooperation programme with the Chinese authorities on financial sector issues, including the development of capital markets and the offshore RMB market. Peter has also worked in Baghdad, Iraq, on energy issues and previously headed the FCO’s emerging markets team in London.

H.E. Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia (to be confirmed as of 23 January 2015)

His Excellency Joko Widodo (also known as Jokowi) is the seventh President of Indonesia (2014-2019). Prior to this, he was Governor of Jakarta (2012-2014), Mayor of Surakarta (2005-2009; 2010-2014), Chairman of Surakarta Association of Furniture and Handicraft (2002-2007), Head of Mining and Energy, Surakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (1992-1996), Founder of Small Industries Development Cooperative Solo (1990).

He was listed as one of the World’s 50 Greatest Leaders by Fortune (2014), one of Leading Global Thinkers by Foreign Policy (2013), and nominated as the Global Mayor of the Month by the London-based City Mayors Foundation (February 2013). He received 3rd place of the World Mayor Prize for “transforming a crime-ridden city into a regional center of art and culture and an attractive city to tourists” (2012), was awarded the Star Services by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (2011) and was listed by Tempo in the Top 10 Indonesian Mayors (2008).

He studied engineering and forestry at the Gadjah Mada University.
