About Next-Gen CSR Forum

2015 is a key year for ASEAN as the deadline for the ASEAN Economic Community 2015 Blueprint lapses and a new strategy and agenda is formulated. This also marks the year that the Millennium Development Goals are reviewed and a new global sustainable development strategy is revealed by the United Nations. But what does that really mean for businesses? What is expected from them? And what needs to be changed in the current way of doing business?

The ASEAN CSR Network has a vision of a responsible business community helping transform ASEAN into a better place for all. In collaboration with our organizing partners, we want to promote and enable responsible business conduct in ASEAN in support of sustainable, equitable, and inclusive economic and socio-economic development.

The ASEAN Next-Gen CSR Forum is a regional conference that will bring together key leaders and stakeholders to tackle topical issues, including corruption, sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, enabling local environments and human rights. There is a lot to be accomplished, and the Forum looks to delve into both the impact on, and role of, the private sector as a catalyst for positive change. The objective is to identify practical, collaborative ways forward as we address key ASEAN challenges.

The ASEAN CSR Week will provide the opportunity to discover innovative approaches, share insights, and generate ideas and networks, while learning from the experts. Plus as you leverage the Forum to build partnerships, we will discuss enhancing regional and international collaboration, and outline clear plans of action for ASEAN CSR and governance leadership post-2015.
