Session 1: Update on global progress and challenges - Implementing the UNGPs

Since the launch of UN Guiding Principles (UNGP) 6 years ago, there has been global momentum to implement the UNGPs at National Levels. In particular, there has been commitment in Western European, Mexico, Chile, Japan and Korea.

We need shared vision and ambition, ongoing learning from transparent processes. The implementation of NAPs will be critical to developing and sustaining BRH as a field and as a priority for governments.

Importance of language from stakeholders cannot be overlooked. Business have been doing better than the basic ‘Do no harm’ language, but more can be done.
