NUS students present findings to industry panellists in joint project on Sustainability Reporting
On 25 February 2016, five teams of students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) presented their findings on the state of Sustainability Reporting in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand to a group of industry panellists for comments and feedback. This is part of a joint project by the Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations, NUS Business School and ASEAN CSR Network. Feedback given will be used to further refine the research. The final report of the state of Sustainability Reporting will be published and launched during the Conference on Corporate Governance and Responsibility on 20 July 2016.
The Singapore teams were divided into three groups. They did an in-depth research on SGX-listed companies in the infrastructure, manufacturing and services industries and compared the level of disclosure of companies in their sustainability reports. Singapore's top 100 listed companies by market capitalisation will also be compared against the top 100 listed companies in Malaysia and Thailand to assess the scope of sustainability reporting in the three countries.
