Anti-Corruption Video Contest open to those under 35 from ASEAN
The UNDP Global Anti-Corruption Initiative, the ASEAN CSR Network (ACN) and the Global Compact Network Singapore are co-organising an Anti-Corruption Video Contest. Open to those below 35 years old in Southeast Asia, participants are invited to take a stand against corruption via the production of a short video clip of up to three minutes.
Three of the best videos will be selected and winners will be given an official award certificate at the Conference on Corporate Governance and Responsibility: Theory Meets Practice to be held in Singapore in July 2016. The Forum is co-organised by ACN and the Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations, National University of Singapore Business School (CGIO). Winners will also get to attend the award ceremony at the Conference as ASEAN CSR Network will cover the winners' travel and conference costs.
Selected videos will be officially used during the 2016 UN Anti-Corruption Day Campaign with a potential audience reach of 200 million people around the world. In addition, selected videos will be featured on various UNDP and ASEAN CSR Network media platforms, including websites, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Flickr, LinkedIn and at selected events.
The objectives of the videos are:
- to drive awareness about the bad effects of corruption in our society and to get the young to take a stand against corruption;
- to show how corruption impacts the daily life of normal people, especially the youth and women;
- to encourage people to say “No” to corruption; and
- to make corruption worth fighting against by showing what each of us can do to make a stand against corruption, “Break the corruption chain” and uphold ethics and integrity.
Participants may use a number of devicses such as mobile devices, video recorders or any other camera devices to create a digital storytelling narrative, documenting the negative impacts of corruption.
All entries must be submitted by 15th April 2016 and selected videos will be notified by 30th April 2016.
