Members of the Regional Working Group on Business Integrity in ASEAN gathered in Bangkok, Thailand on 24 March 2015 to discuss the Group’s direction and strategy. Envisioning “a corruption-free ASEAN”, the Working Group agreed on its mission to promote and achieve the highest standard of business integrity in ASEAN. Members of the Working Group were also committed to uphold six core values -- commitment, integrity, collaboration, inclusiveness, sharing and excellence – in their join efforts against corruption.

To further guide the efforts of the Working Group, a Guiding Framework and an Action Plan for regional collective action were developed at the Bangkok meeting and adopted post-meeting. With a focus on advocacy and capacity building, the Working Group recognizes that dealing with corruption must be done collectively, based on a shared understanding, supported by a strong tone from the top, and in line with international standards and norms.
