Dr. Anis Yusal Yusoff

President and CEO of the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (INTEGRITI)

 

Dr. Anis Yusal Yusoff is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (INTEGRITI). He has served over ten years at The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as well as at the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Head Quarters in Bonn, Germany. He is trained as an Information Technologist but has developed great interest in human development issues over the last 25 years. He was a Principal Fellow and founding Chairman of the Oversight Committee for the Institute of Ethnic Studies' (KITA) Research Projects. He was also the founding National Coordinator of the National Social Cohesion Programme (PADU) - a RM3.5 million 3-year Long Term Research Grant Scheme (LRGS) programme funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. Dr. Anis has led a number of other research works during his time at KITA, UKM. He was the project leader and person responsible to develop KITA- MESRA (Malaysian Ethnic Relations Monitoring System) - an early warning system to manage potential tension and conflict among the community. In addition to his academic research work, Dr. Anis has served on a number of national advisory councils. To name a few, he was a member of the Advisory Panel for the Consultation and Prevention of Corruption under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission. He was also an advisory member of the panel for the National Advisory Consumer Council and the National Unity and Integration Training Institute. Dr. Anis was recently appointed by the King as Commissioner of the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC).

 

Dr. Anis has been speaking and writing on issues related to people and development. His research and writings have been published as chapters in books, and as articles in a number of journals and newspapers. He is also regularly invited by the national media as an analyst of Malaysian socio-politics to discuss areas related to corruption, money politics and ethnic relations. Dr. Anis holds a PhD from the National University of Malaysia and MSc in Information Management and Technology from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York.
