Cambodian Human Rights Action Committee (CHRAC)

 

Mr. Suon Bunsak, Cambodian, is currently a Chief of Secretariat of Cambodian Human Rights Action Committee (CHRAC), a coalition of 21 local member organizations working in the field of human rights, democracy, peace and the rule of law in Cambodia. Mr. Bunsak has held the position of Chief of Secretariat of this local human rights coalition since the midst of 2006. For the holding of this high position in this coalition organization, Mr. Bunsak is a main responsible person for reporting to CHRAC leadership and General assembly. He performs and oversees CHRAC’s work operation and management such as secretariat staff, coordination and mobilization for joint investigation and advocacy efforts for the addressing and resolution of high profile human rights violation cases and human rights campaigns in Cambodia. Mr. Bunsak also performs active coordination and mobilizations of member organizations and other like-minded organization for joint advocacy efforts for the legal and judicial reforms and good governance in Cambodia. He represents CHRAC nationally, regionally and internationally for the cause and interest of human rights advocacy.

 

Through working with his current local human rights coalition organization in the field of human rights in Cambodia, Mr. Bunsak has become the important targeted person of media agents. Since his initial work experience in 1992 with UN and other NGOs, he has gained more than ten years of work experience in the field of human rights, democracy and rule of law in Cambodia.

 

For his education, Mr. Bunsak has obtained a Bachelor degree of law and then Master of public administration from Universities in Phnom Penh.
