Jose Solomon Cortez
Executive Director of the Integrity Initiative, Inc.
Has worked with a number of developmental organizations and NGOs since graduating with a BS Community Development degree from the University of Philippines-Diliman in 1999. In 2001, he began his work with the private sector by joining the Makati Business Club (MBC), as a project officer for its computer laboratories donation project for public high schools eventually becoming part of MBC's Research Department as a Senior Research Associate for the organization's political research group, monitoring key economic indicators and national issues affecting the country’s business sector at the same time managing a number of the organization’s programs. In 2005 he joined KPMG, a big four auditing firm, as a senior communications officer, developing appropriate keynote communications for the company’s senior management as well as assisting in the development of the firm’s internal and crisis communications and strategic marketing needs. He rejoined the Makati Business Club in 2008 to handle its anti-corruption projects while shortly serving as an independent consultant for marketing and communications of Accenture, Inc. At present he is the Executive Director of the Integrity Initiative, Inc. and MBC’s Manager for Special Projects as well as a member of the Regional Working Group for Business Integrity in ASEAN.
