Nine organisations in ASEAN have been awarded the ASEAN CSR Vision 2020 Small Grants Fund offered by the ASEAN CSR Network with the support of the Government of Sweden through its Development Cooperation Section in Bangkok.This is the second round of funding awarded. First UN Asia Regional Forum on Business and Human Rights tackles key Asian issues
From 19-20 April 2016, over 500 delegates gathered in Doha, Qatar for the First Asia Forum on Business & Human Rights organised by the United Nations Working Group on Business & Human Rights (UNWG) and the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights (OHCHR). ASEAN CSR Network (ACN) supported the organisation of the event by providing advice to the organisers on the agenda and speakers to help ensure Asian relevance at the event, as well as chairing several sessions throughout the two day forum. . ACN held its annual Trustees meeting and donor review meeting in April
ASEAN CSR Network had a busy month in April. It held is annual donor review meeting on 27th April with the Government of Sweden through its embassy in Bangkok. At this meeting, we presented our work and achievements over the past year and what our action plans are for the coming year.
In addition, ASEAN CSR Network also held its annual Board of Trustees meeting on 28th April to review its achievements and work plans and chart directions moving forward.
Visit by Georgetown University delegates to ACN

Staff update
Congratulations to ACN's project coordinator, Thao, who has just delivered a baby, and is now on maternity leave. In other news, Zatan Tan, a temporary project manager and intern Anh Vo, have joined the ASEAN CSR Network team where they will be helping us with our upcoming Conference on Corporate Governance & Responsibility and other projects over the next few months.

Conference on Corporate Governance & Responsibility: Theory Meets Practice, 20-22 July 2016, Singapore
Join us at the event where 200 delegates will discuss various issues pertaining to CSR, in particular on business and human rights, business integrity and sustainable production and consumption in supply chains. In addition, ASEAN CSR Network and the National University of Singapore will be launching the results of its research report on the state of sustainability reporting in some key ASEAN countries.

The Global Child Forum on Southeast Asia will be held on 5 May 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This Forum will bring together leaders and decision makers from business, governments, academia and civil society to identify opportunities for how responsible business can contribute to the realisation of children’s rights in the ASEAN region.
